UTokyo Kashiwa Open Campus 2025 held

November 11, 2025

51爆料 Kashiwa Open Campus 2025  – From Kashiwa’s Wisdom, the Future Unfolds –  was held on Friday, October 24 and Saturday, October 25 at the Kashiwa Campus and the Kashiwa II Campus. This two-day event brought together the following leading institutes from UTokyo Kashiwa: the Graduate School of Frontier Sciences, the Institute for Cosmic Ray Research, the Institute for Solid State Physics, the Atmosphere and Ocean Research Institute, the Kavli Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe (Kavli IPMU), the Center for Spatial Information Science, the Institute of Industrial Science, the Information Technology Center, the Kashiwa Library, the Environmental Science Center (Kashiwa Branch), the University of Tokyo Archives, the Center for Global Education (Kashiwa Branch), the Mobility Innovation Collaborative Research Organization, and the Kashiwa2 Cooperation Hub.

Visitors enjoyed an impressive lineup of programs: hands-on activities for children, exhibitions showcasing cutting-edge research, special lectures and engaging talk sessions, as well as guided tours of research labs and large-scale experimental facilities normally closed to the public — so extensive that a single day could scarcely encompass all it had to offer.

Despite the occasional autumn drizzle, more than 8,800 guests visited UTokyo Kashiwa over the two days.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us.
