Professor Kaori Hayashi, Executive Vice President and Associate Professor Yoshiyuki Kawazoe (Institute of Industrial Science) paid a courtesy visit to the Consulate of Japan in Chennai, India on 3 September 2025, where they met with Mr. Muneo Takahashi, Consulate General and Ms. Teraoka, Researcher/Adviser – Culture and Information, and exchanged views on expanding opportunities for Indian students to study in Japan, participating in study abroad fairs, further promoting mutual academic and cultural exchanges, the Japan Scholar program and the enthusiasm held towards higher education in India. The challenges faced in the branding value of Japanese universities were discussed.
